The year 2024 has been a transformation period for KEX Express (Thailand) PCL (“KEX”). We have taken decisive steps to reposition the company. We strategically optimized the customer mix by shifting away from a pre-dominantly e-commerce oriented customers, which marks a significant pivot in our journey. This decision reflects our commitment to adapting to market realities and focusing on areas where we can deliver more value to our clients and stakeholders.
The Thai economy in 2024 has demonstrated resilience, supported by government initiatives and a rebound in tourism. However, the broader economic environment has been influenced by inflationary pressures, supply chain disruptions, and geopolitical tensions, which have impacted businesses across sectors. In response, we have optimized operational efficiency, leveraging technology to streamline processes and reduce costs. We have also enhanced our internal management processes, ensuring transparency and accountability in all aspects of our operations. These efforts have laid a solid foundation for recovery and future growth.
As we look to the future, we remains dedicated to delivering value to our stakeholders despite the challenges ahead. Our strategic priorities include strengthening our business development capabilities, driving cost savings and innovation through optimization and technology, and continuing our sustainability journey. As we reflect on the year 2024, significant strides has been made for KEX Express (Thailand) PCL (“KEX”) in repositioning our business for long-term growth in our challenging transformative journey. Our strategic decision to shift focus away from lower yield segments to optimize our portfolio has been a pivotal step and this transition, though demanding, has allowed us to refine our service offerings and strengthen our relationships with key clients bringing quality, reliability, and tailored logistics solutions closer to them.
The Thai economy in 2024 has shown signs of recovery, supported by government stimulus measures and a resurgence in tourism. However, inflationary pressures, rising operational costs, and geopolitical uncertainties have created a challenging environment for businesses across industries. Despite these obstacles, we have remained agile and proactive, leveraging technology and data-driven insights to optimize our operations and improve efficiency. At the same time, we have taken meaningful steps toward sustainability, adopting eco-friendly practices as part of our commitment to ESG principles.
Looking ahead, we are focused on rebuilding momentum and driving sustainable growth. Our priorities include deepening our relationships with key strategic customers, investing in advanced technologies to enhance service delivery, differentiated services and value-added products to capture new opportunities.
